Penny Gullan 13/08/2008 @09h58 :Species of the genus Tessarobelus now belong to the family Monophlebidae (as does Insulococcus magnoporus Bhatti, also described from New Caledonia). Sunita Bhatti was my PhD student and I have collected these insects (with permit) in New Caledonia in 2003. There are 5 described species of Tessarobelus: T. guerini Montrouzier, T. immaturus Bhatti, T. inusitatus Bhatti, T. ordinarius Bhatti and T. perissoporus Bhatti.
I can provide a colour photograph of females of T. inusitatus, which are pink in life.
